What is geographic profiling?

Geographic Profiling is a geospatial crime analysis technique which examines the geographic pattern of a crime series to determine where the offender responsible is most likely based.

Why use geographic profiling?

• Improve the focus of the investigation by a factor of 10 on average, by prioritizing suspects and areas targeted for further investigation.

• Solve serial cases faster and employ investigative resources more efficiently.
